In accordance with state and federal mandates, SPCPA seeks out, assesses, and appropriately serves students with disabilities. School staff use a comprehensive child study process to systematically screen, assess, and, if appropriate, place students in special education services.
SPCPA is committed to providing a free, appropriate public education to students receiving special education services, crafting IEP or 504 plans to specifically address student goals in behavior and transition skills to support their post-secondary success. Student progress towards goals and objectives are regularly reported to parents/guardians through written progress reports and conferences.
