SPCPA engages students in the interpretation and creation of meaning through language utilizing English curriculum characterized by high standards and expectations of student achievement. Students interact with texts using critical and rhetorical analysis, taking into account social and historical perspectives. They approach reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking as integrated skills in their study of poetry, non-fiction, drama, and prose. SPCPA prepares students to be communicative and insightful citizens and leaders.
