SPCPA strives to ensure science content and instruction aligns with the belief that all students can and should be scientifically literate. Scientific literacy enables students to use scientific principles to make personal decisions and participate in discussions that affect society. Classroom experiences include hands-on activities rooted in scientific inquiry and collaboration. The classroom environment fosters the development of thoughtful, creative, and knowledgeable citizens that possess understanding and knowledge of key scientific concepts. _
