SPCPA utilizes the multidisciplinary study of the humanities and social sciences to prepare students to become responsible, engaged citizens through discplinary knowledge and skills, commitment to democratic values, and citizen participation. SPCPA emphasizes literacy in all courses to engage students in local, national, and world issues and events. Students learn to think critically as socially and culturally aware individuals as they attain knowledge and skills in civics and government, economics, geography, and history.
