Fear at the Ritz Theater
Dance instructor Angharad Davies attended a dance residency at the Maggie Allessee National Center for Choreography in Tallahassee, Florida, where she was working on local choreographer Megan Mayer’s work “Soft Fences.” Angharad Davies will also present “Fear,” a dance/theater piece, at the Renovate Festival at the Ritz Theater in Minneapolis on March 16th through March18th. Vocal chair Nathan Herfindahl has two upcoming performances: On March 11th, he will perform in “Opera Cabaret: A Tribute to Great American Singers of the Past” with the Duluth Festival Opera in Duluth, Minnesota. On April 14th, Nathan Herfindahl will be performing Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem with the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra in Houghton, Michigan.

Dance Medicine Workshop

Joey Clark in “Out of the Trenches and Over the Rainbow”
Instructor Joey Clark performs his one-man cabaret at the Bryan Lake Bowl. “Out of the Trenches and Over the Rainbow” takes a cabaret-style glance at the bullies of our childhood and what happens to their voices once we’ve grown up. Inspired by Dan Savage’s “It Gets Better” Project, the stories are shared by his students, and in honor of the youth whose lives have been lost in the fight against bullies, Joey takes his audience on a romantic and motivational musical journey from whence we’ve come, to where we stand today, to where we could be tomorrow. Show dates are Monday, April 11, Friday, April 15, and Friday, April 22 at 7pm at the Bryan Lake Bowl, 810 West Lake Street in Minneapolis. $12 general admission/$6 students (18 and younger).
